How Do I Stage My RV?

1

Remove Your Personal Belongings

The first thing we recommend doing when staging your motorcoach for selling is removing all your personal belongings. Your may have things stashed away in various cabinets, cubbies, and storage compartments, and you wouldn’t want to forget any of them. It also gives your RV a better appearance when it is time to sell, as the inspector will be able to look at everything in better detail without having to move any of your belongings.

2

Deep Clean Your RV

If you’ve taken your RV or motorcoach on any trips lately, or if it has been sitting in storage, it most likely needs a good clean to look its best. Cleaning the interior, exterior, and storage areas of your motorcoach can really make it look “new” again and give the best impression to the inspector when appraising your RV. It’s also important to clean out any food from the fridge or panty, as spoiled food can leave lasting odors.

3

Make Sure Maintenance is Up-to-Date

Basic maintenance is incredibly important when owning an RV, and especially so when it comes time to sell your RV. Having an overdue oil change or dead battery doesn’t give a great first impression when trying to sell your motorcoach, and providing documentation about any recent service history can help our appraisers give your RV a higher value as they don’t have to question whether the RV was maintained properly or not.

4

Ensure All Original Accessories are Included

We kindly ask that you leave ALL factory items like bedspreads, decorative pillows, furniture, and remotes in the RV or motorcoach when you are staging it for selling. These items were often designed for your specific motorcoach, and replacing them can add costs and delays when it comes time to sell. By including all original factory accessories, you help increase the value of your RV or motorcoach.

5

Include the Original Paperwork

Our team will need a copy of the state title or registration, and if you have a loan, we will need the last loan statement. We also require copies of any trust or LLC documents if applicable, a copy of your driver’s license, bank account number, and routing number (which can be provided after physical inspection). Having these items ready ahead of time can eliminate any delays in the selling process.
